OBITUARY
Robert Muldoon
On Tuesday last death removed a well-known and highly esteemed resident of this district, for on
that day Mr. Robert Muldoon, of Dolly’s Flat, near Wingham, died at the Macquarie street hospital,
Taree, to which institution he had come for medical treatment.
He had been ill for some time, and was submitted to an operation on Thursday of last week.
From the nature of his illness his friends did not have much hope of his recovery when the disease became
acute, still, his death, in the prime of life, was a severe shock to his relatives and a host of friends.
The deceased gentleman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Muldoon, a fine old couple who live at Tinonee.
He came to Tinonee with his parents more than 35 years ago, and had lived in the district ever since.
He was an industrious, careful man, one who made a success of his life, and retained the warm esteem of the people with whom he
came into contact during life’s activities.
He was 54 years of age.
