One of the first of the early bands of Manning River pioneers passed away last week,
in the person of Mrs. Bridget Murray (relict of the late Mr. James Murray), aged 73 years.
Though a native of Limerick, Ireland, deceased had lived for nearly 60 years in N.S.W., and over 50 years on the Manning, rearing a family of eleven children, one of whom (Mrs. Alfred Gordon) resides on the Richmond River.
Mrs. Murray was noted far and wide for her great kindness of heart and sunny disposition, and was very highly esteemed.
Her funeral in the Presbyterian portion of the Tinonee cemetery was very largely attended.
