LATE MR. GEORGE GOLLAN
The Board of Management of the Manning River District Hospital adjourned its meeting on Tuesday night, as a mark of respect. In addition to the public positions Mr Gollan held in connection with the Manning River Agricultural and Horticultural Association and the hospital, he was a Caledonian chief, his daughter being a well-known exponent of national dancing, the cortege was the largest ever seen in Tinonee, 100 cars being included. About 100 wreaths were received.
Impressive addresses were delivered at the Free Presbyterian Church at Tinonee, and at the graveside by Rev. Neil MacLeod, MA.
