OBITUARY
MR. ALBERT HENRY DUMBRELL
Mr. Albert Henry Dumbrell, who recently died at his home in Pembroke Street, Stockton, was in his 89th year.
He was born at Clarence Town, and was the youngest son of the late Alfred and Hannah Dumbrell.
During the early part of his life he was a shipwright, and later he was engaged in the timber trade.
When 24, he moved to the Manning River district, where he was well known as an axeman.
He married the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grill, of Tinonee.

After some years, he moved to Newcastle, and resumed as a shipwright.

At the time of his retirement he was foreman shipwright at Dyke End. Mr. Dumbrell lived at Stockton for 52
years.
The funeral moved from Methodist Church, Stockton, of which Mr. Dumbrell was one of the oldest trustees.
The service at the church was conducted by Revs. R. N. Grout and G. A. Simpson. Both officiated at the grave.

A Masonic service was also held.

Mr. Dumbrell’s wife died eight years ago. There are three sons Herbert (Mosman), Percival (Wentworth
Falls), and Albert (Wallsend); and one daughter, Ivy (Stockton).
A  son, Cecil, predeceased him some years ago.
There are fourteen grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren alive.
Mr. Dumbrell was a brother of the late Mrs. T. Muldoon, of Tinonee.
